Vatican City & St. Peter's Basilica

Absolutely loved this tour! The story about the hidden door behind the altar completely blew my mind - I would never have noticed it just walking around on my own. The narrator's voice was perfect and the timing worked out great even with the crowds. That moment when you look up at the dome and learn about Michelangelo's genius gave me actual chills. Worth every euro, especially since you can replay parts if you miss something.

Good content and interesting historical details about how the Vatican gained its power over the centuries. The part about the Swiss Guard was fascinating. However, 27 minutes felt a bit rushed for such an important site - I wished there was more time to absorb each area, especially inside St. Peter's. Also ran into issues with GPS accuracy near the colonnade which threw off the timing. Still informative though.

Really enjoyed learning about the artistic ambition behind St. Peter's construction. The section explaining Bernini's colonnade design was brilliant - I finally understood why it feels so dramatic when you enter St. Peter's Square. The audio quality was crystal clear and I loved how it connected the architecture to the politics of papal power. Only wish there were a few more stops included, but for the price it delivered exactly what was promised.
