Really enjoyed this audio tour! The story about how they managed to build that massive dome without modern cranes was fascinating. I loved the part where you look up at the oculus and they explain how the rain actually drains out - I never would have noticed those subtle slopes on my own. The narrator's voice was clear and engaging throughout the 21 minutes. Only minor complaint is that it could have gone deeper into some of the architectural techniques, but overall a solid experience for the price.

Absolutely blown away by this tour. I've walked past the Pantheon dozens of times but never really understood what made it so special. The segment about the concrete recipe they used was mind-blowing - who knew Romans were basically ancient chemists? The story about the hidden door behind the altar gave me chills. Perfect length too, didn't feel rushed but covered everything important. Trevlo has definitely earned my trust for future Rome visits.

Good information and the audio quality was excellent. I appreciated learning about the engineering marvel of the dome and how it influenced St. Peter's Basilica. The part about the bronze doors was interesting too. However, I wish there was more context about what the building was used for after it became a church - that transition felt glossed over. Also would have liked some guidance on the best spots to stand for photos. Still worth it but room for improvement.

This changed my entire perspective on Roman architecture. Standing there listening to the explanation of how they gradually lightened the concrete as they built upward - genius! The detail about Michelangelo studying this dome before designing St. Peter's connected so many dots for me. I actually got goosebumps during the part about the original bronze ceiling panels. My 14-year-old son was glued to every word, which says something. The 21 minutes flew by and I immediately wanted to explore more of Rome's ancient sites.
