The storytelling in this tour is absolutely brilliant. I've been to Versailles twice before but never understood how deliberate every detail was until I heard the explanation about the king's morning routine and how even getting dressed was a political performance. The part about the hidden door behind the queen's bed gave me chills. Worth every penny.

Really enjoyed this one. The narrator has a great voice and the way they explain how Louis XIV used the palace layout to control his nobles was fascinating. I loved the detail about why the Hall of Mirrors faces the garden - never would have thought about the symbolism there. Only wish it covered more about the construction process itself.

This tour completely changed how I see Versailles. The segment about the king's bedroom being at the exact center of the palace blew my mind. And the story about how courtiers had to wait for hours just to watch him eat dinner - it really drives home how power worked back then. The audio quality is crystal clear too.

Good content overall and I learned quite a bit about the political machinations behind the palace design. The part where you look up at the painted ceiling in the War Salon was well-timed. However, I felt like it moved too quickly through some rooms - would have liked more time to actually absorb what I was seeing while listening. Also wish there were more specific directions for navigation.

Excellent tour that brings the palace to life. I had no idea that even the choice of furniture was a power play. The explanation of why Marie Antoinette's rooms were decorated so differently from Louis XIV's made perfect sense after hearing the historical context. The 27 minutes flew by. My only complaint is that some of the audio cues were a bit hard to follow in the crowded areas.
