About this tour
Climb through the cobbled streets where Picasso painted through poverty and Renoir dodged rent collectors. This is the hill that taught Paris how to be bohemian — and then how to sell that story to the world.

Absolutely loved this tour! The story about Picasso's studio on Rue Ravignan gave me goosebumps - standing right where he painted Les Demoiselles d'Avignon was incredible. The narrator's voice was perfect, not too dramatic but really brought the artists' struggles to life. That bit about Renoir hiding from his landlord made me laugh out loud on the street. Worth every euro.

Really enjoyed walking through Montmartre with this guide. The part where you look up at the dome of Sacré-Cœur while hearing about the commune was beautifully timed. Loved learning about the windmills and how the area transformed from rural to artistic haven. Only wish it was a bit longer - 29 minutes felt like it went by too quickly when there's so much history packed into these streets.

This tour completely changed how I see Montmartre. I've been here before but never knew about the hidden door at the Lapin Agile or the story behind Place du Tertre's transformation. The way it explains how poverty drove creativity was fascinating. Perfect timing with the walking pace too - never felt rushed or bored.

Good content about the artists and their lives in Montmartre. The stories about Toulouse-Lautrec at the cabarets were particularly interesting. However, I wish there were more specific directions - got a bit lost near the vineyard section and had to backtrack. Also would have liked more details about the architecture of the buildings, not just the people who lived in them.

Brilliant tour that brings the bohemian spirit of old Montmartre to life. That segment about the artists' models and their own stories was something I'd never heard before. The narration really captures the romance and hardship of the era. My only complaint is that some of the street names mentioned were hard to follow on my map, but the main route was clear enough.
