Champs-Élysées & Place de la Concorde Walk

What a brilliant way to experience the Champs-Élysées! I've walked this avenue countless times but never knew about the hidden underground passages beneath Place de la Concorde or the story about why the obelisk was placed exactly where the guillotine once stood. The narrator's voice was perfect - not too dramatic but engaging enough to keep me hooked for the full 33 minutes. The part where you stand at the exact spot where Marie Antoinette was executed gave me actual chills. Worth every euro.

Used this during our Paris trip last month and it really brought the history to life. The timing worked perfectly - we started at Arc de Triomphe and the audio synced beautifully with what we were seeing. Loved learning about Haussmann's grand design and how the avenue was meant to showcase imperial power. The revolutionary stories at Place de la Concorde were fascinating, especially the bit about the 'Festival of the Supreme Being.' My only gripe is that the audio could be a touch louder for busy street conditions, but overall a great experience.

Good content and interesting historical connections between the monuments and French political history. The narrator did a nice job explaining why Place de la Concorde was chosen for public executions and how it transformed into a symbol of reconciliation. However, I wish there were more specific architectural details about the buildings we passed. Also, 33 minutes felt a bit rushed for such an important area - would have preferred a longer, more leisurely pace to really absorb everything. The app interface worked smoothly though.
